Randomness

I don't have a lot of food to show you today... Bob works at the dining hall on campus, which means he gets two free meals a day, so I've not been much inclined to concoct anything exciting just for myself. I've been eating leftovers and repeats, and let's face it, you can only take so many pics of the same meals. Besides leftover black beans, kale, and white bean pesto with fresh veggies, I've been enjoying some delicious, frosty smoothies:

As well as some fresh, organic salads:

In addition, I have been drinking cayenne pepper tea to try and kill this sore throat that I've had for weeks now. I know cayenne is known for its ability to cure a sore throat, but it doesn't seem to be helping me a whole lot. Bleh. Any other remedies you can share with me?

I love your list- it's very honest, lots of diverse topics, lots to think about. I especially love the ones about your mom, your dad, and how they see us- isn't that always the case with parents?

I loved reading your list - I feel like we have a lot in common. You know what? My parents actually lived in Savannah for a year when they were in the army. I hope you have a good trip and that you feel better soon! Maybe you could try some Echinacea tea? (Traditional Medicinals)

Your smoothie and salad both look delicious, by the way!

Laura,

I hope that you begin feeing better. The sore throat thing gets old fast, I know. Thanks for sharing your list with us. I love how honest and true you are. I can see that you really care for Bob too, which is awesome. Have a great time with your sister- I'm jealous, because I always wanted a sister.

I love love love FF VII. I love Cloud. :) I greatly disliked Aeris and I felt she got in the way between Cloud and Tifa. For some reason I feel like you might be an Aeris fan. Don't hate me!

I love your list, so honest and funny and sweet and true. I also want to meet other veg bloggers! I dream about that a lot.

But I must say, you don't look like a wet willow tree!! I object! I don't know you, but I've seen pictures of you... at the very least- you look like a dry willow tree! ha ha.

love Amey

I hope you find yourself feeling better soon. Sore throats are the worst for foodies.

Loved getting to know you better. I'm so curious about people anyway that these are so much fun for me to read (and as Kleo pointed out, re-read).

I loved reading your list. i do think that you should attribute some of your beauty and accomplishments to what you did with everything that God gave you (in #37 "I'm glad... God created me just the way I am.") like the fact that you became vegan! you are an amazing person! :D

peace.

Great list.

I have been using cinnamon oil for sore throats and found it works if you don't mind your tongue feeling as if you bit into a very hot chili :)
